Solar Victoria Hot Water Rebate
The Victorian Government is supporting residents in Victoria to install a new or a replacement hot water system by offering a rebate of up to $1000 on eligible hot water systems. These rebates can be claimed only if the hot water system supply and installation is undertaken by an authorised hot water retailer.
Solar Panel Rebate Victoria
Solar panel rebates of up to $1,400 plus the option of an interest-free loan are available for existing homes and homes under construction in Victoria. The interest-free government loan can be paid over four years or can be repaid sooner in a lump sum. Only an authorised solar retailer can supply and install solar panels under the Victorian government solar homes program.
Solar Battery Rebate Victoria
The Victorian Solar Battery Rebate Program, offering a rebate of $2950, officially ended on 30 June, 2023. With the aim of reducing the upfront cost of installing a solar battery in Victoria, Solar Victoria is now offering an interest free solar battery loan of upto $8,800 payable over 4 years. 4,500 interest-free battery loans have been made available for Victorian residents under the solar homes program in 2023-2024.
The transition from battery rebates to interest-free battery loans reflects the Victorian Government’s dedication to expand the access of solar batteries among the wider population of Victoria. The Victorian solar battery rebate is not available to homes under construction.
