WHAT IS THE VICTORIAN ENERGY UPGRADES PROGRAM?
The Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, formerly known as the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET) scheme, was established by the Victorian Government in Australia, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by providing incentives for households and businesses to upgrade to more energy-efficient appliances and systems through a market based energy-efficiency certificate program.
Under the VEU program, eligible customers can access discounts when they install the approved energy-saving products such as efficient hot water systems, air conditioners and more. These upgrades not only help to lower energy bills but also contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing overall energy consumption.
The program operates through Accredited Persons who administer the rebates and discounts on behalf of the government. Participants can choose from a range of accredited products and services, and the incentives provided make it more affordable for them to make energy-efficient upgrades.
